San Carlos School District HVAC Upgrades | San Carlos, CA

This project for the San Carlos School District involves providing new HVAC systems and electrical upgrades for six campuses. The work is scheduled to take place over the summers of 2025 and 2026, with Arundel, Mariposa, and Tierra Linda completed in 2025, and Brittan Acres, Heather, and White Oaks in 2026.

Based on our site studies, split HVAC systems will be installed in classrooms. Each system includes an indoor fan coil unit placed in a corner closet, often repurposing existing closets. Closet walls and doors will be temporarily removed for installation, then reframed and replaced with new ones. New rooftop units will replace existing units at Arundel and Heather Elementary Schools.

Outdoor heat pump units will be placed at ground level where possible, or on rooftops if space is limited. Each classroom will receive a dedicated unit for individual climate control. For ground-level units, protective metal screen enclosures will be constructed to enhance safety and prevent potential vandalism.
