Diablo Valley College Student Services Center  |  Pleasant Hill, CA

This extensive project was completed in six phases and included site demolition, construction of a student services building, demolition of the old student center, construction of a culinary arts building, demolition of the old cafeteria, and creation of a new commons plaza. The new student services center is a two-story building housing multiple academic departments, including admissions and records, student assessment, counseling, and international studies.

Key construction features include a structural steel frame with suspended concrete slabs over metal decking, a precast concrete panel exterior with multi-story curtain walls, and central heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems serving both buildings. Additional features include chilled beam cooling and radiant floor heating throughout.
