Diablo Valley College Student Services Center  |  Pleasant Hill, CA

This extensive project consisted of six phases that included site demo, construction of a student services building, demolition of the old student center, a culinary arts building, demolition of the old cafeteria, and a new commons plaza. The new student services center is a two-story building housing multiple academic departments for the college, including admissions and records, student assessment, counseling, and international studies. Construction features included a structural steel frame with suspended concrete slabs over metal decks, pre-cast concrete panel exterior with multiple floor curtain walls, central heating, ventilation and air conditioning units to serve both buildings complete with chilled beam cooling, and radiant heat flooring throughout.
